I just had someone offer my cash for my 70-200 2.8 lens. lkasjdlfkjaslfk. What am I supposed to do? I mean, cash would be great, but I love that bloody fucking thing. Aaagh. I almost want to upgrade 100% to Canon, though, so I don’t know what I want to do or anything. I would really, really like the 5D Mark II, though. But. I. Just. Don’t. Know.

So, for various reasons I am keeping the Canon 60D, with the 70-200mm lens. I am playing around with it, and I am just really amazed.

The first thing I notice, is that over my D7000, this camera is a whole lot heavier. Considering that I cannot handle much weight in my hand after my accident, this isn’t a good thing. It is heavier, heftier, and with the lens, I am sure that with a strong enough hit, I could kill someone.

I checked out a 50mm f/1.2 from the cage, mainly because it is significantly smaller than the 70-200, because learning how to use a canon with a lens bigger than my forearm was just no good. I am going to attempt to save up some money to buy a regular 50mm f/1.8, just like the one I almost always use with my Nikon.

So far my favorite part is the swivel screen and the spinning dial, however, I hate how the on and off switch is on the left, the on/off on a Nikon is much better designed, and the dial is weird. Why the fuck is shutter priority “Tv” mode? On a nikon is is “S” which makes much, much more sense.

So far I am liking the camera, but I need to play with it more, a lot more.

I feel bad that I am looking for a new camera,

even though I love my Nikon D7000, I really want the Canon EOS 5d Mark II. Mainly, I want a full frame camera.

Camera Spy Lens

For all of you photographers, here is a great, humorous product from Photojojo!

With this camera, you are able to take a photograph of something to the side of you, not in front, so whether you’re on the train, at a playground, or even a nude beach, you can take a picture of something without them knowing it! It swivels 360 degrees around, and can fit any DLSR camera, Nikon, Sony, Canon, any!

This has happened to me as long as I have been taking photos. One instance in particular sticks out:Visiting Costa Rica in 2003, I shot over 80 rolls of film. Later when I had uploaded a few of the best shots, people began commenting, repeatedly using the line “These photos are great, you must have a really good camera.” At the time, this kind of insult was rather new to me, so by the fiftieth time, I began replying “Yeah, my camera is so good that I didn’t even go on the trip, I just sent the camera to Costa Rica and it came back with all these amazing shots!” Nowadays when the same comment is made, I just smile politely and say “Yes, it is a great camera.”Photographers, check out this blog. It is often funny, but more often depressing: YouAreNotaPhotog.
